My Latest Paintings
These are my latest paintings, done from the last few years to present. My subject matter ranges all over the map, as well as the painting style I use for each painting. Some are done alla prima, some are done in several several sessions with layer upon layer of glazes. If you have questions about any painting, please contact me and I will talk about it!
This was a difficult painting for me to do since Sam was such a good friend, and the emotion of his passing was still pretty raw. We loved seeing him come into the store, especially just to visit. His visits always included smiling and laughing. This will go in the foyer at Hillside Memorial Chapel. It has been my great honor to have painted this for his wonderful wife Martha. RIP Sam Tolbert. Oil on Canvas
"The Gold's of Autumn", 72" x 60", (6'x5'). I placed myself in the image to show scale. You can also see my Covid hair and beard! This was painted from October to late December 2020 as a Christmas Present for my son and his family to go over their fireplace. The only criteria he gave me was "We want fall colors". I think I nailed it! LOL. Reference credit goes to Seaq68 at Pixabay (https://pixabay.com/images/id-2942443)
